Services: 800 Access
What is 800 Access?: If you’re the traveling type and own a laptop or other portable Internet access device then Backroads 800 access is for you. Backroads 800 access allows you to access the Internet from any analog phone in the U.S. or Canada without the hastle of credit cards or the high cost of hotel phone calls.

What Does It Cost?: Backroads 800 adds a communications surcharge of 10 cents per minute to your account while using 800 access. There are no added monthly fees.

But all I need is e-mail.: Because most businesses and many households have Internet access, Backroads WebMail may be all you need. Using WebMail, you can send and receive your Backroads e-mail from any Internet capable computer in the world.

How do I get 800 access?: Print, read and sign the following statement, then mail or fax it to the Backroads office. Our mailing address is P.O. Box 1636, Laurens, Sc 29360. Our fax number is 775-256-8556. Subject to credit approval, we will e-mail complete instructions within 8 business hours.

Request for 800 access:

  • I understand that I am responsible for the additional charge of 10 cents per minute while using Backroads 800 access.
  • I understand that the only reasonable method of controlling access to my Backroads account is through password protection and that I am responsible for protecting my password.
  • I understand that even if my password is compromised, I am responsible for all charges. It is possible to mistakenly leave the 800 number configured even when I’m in a local calling area.
  • If I am not completely sure of how to turn 800 access on and off in my computer or Internet access device, I will not attempt to use 800 access.
  • As always, I am subject to Backroads standard terms and conditions while using any Backroads service.
